We led the return match of the Champion League play-offs, Rubin Kazan – Olympique Lyon.
The game ended with a 1-1 tie.

Winner Golden Flute 2011-08-30
On its annual banquet, the Belgian Profliga has awarded the Golden, Silver and Bronze Flute.
For the 6th time, Frank De Bleeckere has won the Golden Flute.
Johan Verbist received the Silver Flute and Joeri Van De Velde the Bronze Flute.
The Golden Flute is chosen by the professional players of the Jupiler League.

“Referee of the year” 2011…
The Belgian professional players (340 in total) have elected FDB for the 6th time as “Referee of the Year”.
The trophy was handed to FDB by the Profliga during a ceremony in Brussels.

Lifetime Achievement Award 2011 !!
During the “Gala of the Golden Shoe”, I received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” for my career.
It’s a nice and prestigious award and a recognition for the entire referee family.
